In advance of #Veganuary2022 we wanted to find out what fruit was the nation’s favourite and after a survey conducted in the Autumn we are able to announce that Brits are a nation of strawberry lovers as the strawberry topped the list.

Mango and banana completed the top three with other favourites including apples, pineapples, raspberries and grapes.

The top ten also included grapefruit, cherry and melon.

The nation has spoken and the favourite fruits determined in what, for some, could be seen as a slightly contemporary mix with some of the more exotic fruits making the top ten at the expense of more traditional fruits, especially the citrus ones like oranges, lemons and limes that all failed to make it in to the top 10.

The Top 10

  1. Strawberries (38%)
  2. Mango (31%)
  3. Bananas (27%)
  4. Apples (20%)
  5. Pineapple (18%)
  6. Raspberries (16%)
  7. Grapes (11%)
  8. Grapefruit (10%)
  9. Cherry (9%)
  10. Melon (8%)
