1939 Einstein Campaigns For Atomic Bomb
Albert Einstein wrote his famous letter to President Roosevelt about the potential of the atomic bomb. In the letter, he campaigned in favour of the scientific feasibility of atomic weapons, and urged the President to consider the need to develop a US Atomic Programme.
1987 Attempts To Find Loch Ness Monster Fail
A three day hunt that cost over £1 million attempting to prove or disprove the legend of The Loch Ness Monster ended today. The search concluded that there was no scientific proof that the Loch Ness Monster exists.
